We honor the progress of your life with a sense of dignity and nobility, and with meaning and purpose.Our parties are modeled on gatherings held in African Village Society, which celebrating life through music and songs, drumming and dance as an integral part of the cultural. In that culture, the immediate and extended families extend support and care to the whole being of an individual as well as the entire community. The Village Rhythms Parties can provide your family once in a life time experience. The birthday parties, for instance, are appropriate for toddlers through teens, and beyond. We'll help you celebrate your child's birthday in both the traditional and modern way, to create a celebration full of love, fun, and joy. After participating any of our fun and healthy activities, your child will rejoice and experience comfort and much calmness. Your child will enjoy and feel celebrated. BiographyOnye OnyemaechiOnye brings the soul of African Culture to celebrations and teaching. He blends the best of traditional culture and modern life styles in his work with individuals, organizations, and the world. A virtuoso of African rhythm music, Onye Onyemaechi, a Master Percussionist, Performer and Composer, brings a powerful experience to audiences across the U.S. and Europe. A native of Nigeria, Onye creates original compositions that blend tribal rhythms with contemporary music influences. His multicultural blend of hypnotic rhythm-dance music inspires and uplifts others to celebrate diversity and awaken the native joy of the soul. Performing both solo and in ensemble, Onye's artistry creates electrifying musical feasts and collaborations. He is currently on the roster of the league of Volunteers of Newark Arts Council, El Dorado Arts Council and the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz. He was artistic director/business manager of his Igbote Ethnic Ensemble. Onye Onyemaechi founded the Drum and Dance Society of Sonoma State University. Onye Onyemaechi is recognized as a pioneer, founder and producer of the original popular Ethnic Dance Saturday, a monthly cultural event to bring communities together–a tradition that continues today. His sold-out concert at Humboldt State University Performance Festival electrified the John Van Duzer Theater with a celebration of human spirit. He has been a featured performer and choreographer of the Oakland Festival of the Arts, Bay Area Dance Series and Forest Meadows World Music and Dance Series. His musical compositions and albums include Primal Adventures, and Nnandi. He has been featured on NBC TV affiliate program Coming Together, in the video and film documentaries: Of Sound & Healing and Search for Spirituality, and in a program on the Wisdom Channel. Performing in the U.S. since the early 1980's, Onye has been featured in Billboard Magazine as musical director of the O Band. He is Artistic Director and Business Manager of his own performance company, The Igbote Ethnic Ensemble, and performed on numerous radio shows nationwide. His major performances include First Night Boston, Cambridge Arts Fest, Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center, Statue of Liberty Bicentennial Celebration (with his Igbote Dance Ensemble), Harvard University Cultural Rhythms concert, Uetliberg Museum Arts Festival in Switzerland and Stadttheater Neuburg A.D. Donau, Germany. He has also received recognition and appreciation from Sonoma County Cultural Arts Council. Ronald McDonalds Children's Charities honored Onye with the Award of Gratitude for "special recognition for outstanding participation in Family Fest 1988. |
